An Award-Winning Dynamo on Her Own Accord, Angela Ingersoll Celebrates Judy Garland
Artists Lounge Live presents Get Happy: A Star is Born. The award-winning dynamo, Angela Ingersoll, celebrates American icon, Judy Garland as seen on her current PBS television special, “Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland.” Ingersoll also won acclaim for her stunning portrayal of Garland in the play “End of the Rainbow.”
But, when seen live in concert, Ingersoll shines as a force all her own. She captures Garland’s emotional and vocal power, and crafts passionate stories with a naturally winning humor. With a six piece band to support her, Ingersoll sings songs like "Over the Rainbow," "Come Rain or Come Shine," and "The Man That Got Away.”
The Chicago Sun-Times exclaims, “Phenomenal. Judy Garland has been reborn.” While The Los Angeles Times declares, “The incandescent star power of the dynamic Ingersoll (is) a ringer for Garland in every respect.” Now, you can see the recorded special for yourself Saturday, November 10th at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas!
